Pricing & Refund Policy

Last updated: February 2026

This policy explains how Digicards subscription pricing, change charges, and refund rules work.

1. Pricing Overview

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.

Subscription pricing is based on selected plan and billing cycle (monthly or annual).

Optional NFC card purchases may be charged as an add-on to subscription transactions where available.

2. Final, Non-Refundable Payments

All fees are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable once paid.

No full or partial refunds are provided for plan changes, cancellations, unused time, or accidental non-use of features.

3. Trial to Paid Activation

When a user on trial successfully pays for a paid plan, activation is immediate.

The trial is considered ended at that point, and paid-plan terms apply from activation time.

4. Subscription Change Rules

Subscription changes follow a fixed base policy:

  • Non-upgrade changes are charged now at the full target-cycle amount.
  • Non-upgrade changes take effect at the end of the current period (or defined effective timestamp after period end).
  • True upgrades before expiry are charged only for the pro-rated difference.
  • Same-plan billing-cycle changes are not upgrades; they are full-cycle changes.

Cancellation keeps access active through the end of the current paid period, and no refund is issued for amounts already paid.

5. Pending Changes and Retry

Some changes are stored as pending until their effective date.

  • Unpaid pending actions may require payment retry before they can be applied.
  • Paid and confirmed pending actions cannot be removed or cancelled by the user.

6. NFC Card Add-On Charges

Where offered, an NFC card can be purchased together with a subscription transaction in one combined payment.

The add-on amount is charged immediately and is subject to the same final-payment policy.

7. Commission Payment Accounting

For internal commission accounting, all successful subscription payments are recorded and considered, including initial and subsequent paid changes.

8. Disputes and Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Payment-related disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable South African law and relevant payment-provider processes.
